What is an earnings calendar?

An earnings calendar shows you when publicly traded companies are scheduled to release their quarterly or annual results. Each entry lists the company, the report date, and often whether the release is before market open, after the close, or during regular hours.

For active traders, earnings are major catalysts – they can create sharp moves, gaps, and elevated volume in individual stocks and across whole sectors.

Why it matters to traders

  • Avoid surprises. Know when a stock you hold – or want to trade – has earnings coming up.
  • Plan volatility. Earnings often bring big gaps and fast moves. You can size risk accordingly or sit out entirely.
  • Spot opportunity. Strong beats or big misses can kick off multi-day trends with clean risk-to-reward.

How ACE members use it

In ACE, we use the earnings calendar to flag “event risk” on our watchlists, prepare levels in advance, and avoid holding full risk size right into major announcements unless it’s deliberate. It’s the first step in making sure the market doesn’t catch you off guard.
